Jerry LaBella has been a native of Louisiana for more than 57 years. Born in New Orleans, he has professionally written about Louisiana fishing for more than two decades. His fishing experience started at a young age– introduced to marsh and offshore deep sea fishing by his dad. Through the years he has fished places like Venice, Buras, Empire, Port Sulfur, Point A La Hache, Golden Meadow, Hopedale, Delacroix, Cocodrie, Houma, and numerous other notable Louisiana fishing hot spots throughout the state.
His reports include saltwater species like speckled trout, redfish, flounder, sheepshead, amberjack, cobia, snapper, tuna, and wahoo. By reading his fishing reports you can save time and learn the where to and how to.
During spring and summer months, Jerry LaBella enjoys wadefishing Breton Sound, particularly Breton Island and Gosier Island. Main species like speckled trout and redfish are often caught. Night fishing reports are also included. During late summer / early fall, you can find him in Venice fishing the South Pass and Southwest Pass spillways and other like passes. During the same time he may deep sea fish for tuna, snapper, wahoo and amberjack out in the Gulf of Mexico. Winter months take him to Southeast Louisiana’s inside marsh areas like Point A La Hache and Hopedale/Delacroix. Find his complete Louisiana fishing reports and information click here.
